Empowering our team: ethics

We build trust every day at Rockwell Collins by operating with the highest standards of ethics and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the countries in which we do business. In fact, in a recent employee survey, the top two scoring questions were, "My team conducts business ethically" and "My manager clearly communicates expections for ethical behavior". From an external perspective, we are proud to be included among remarkable peers as part of the Ethisphere Institute's 2017 World's Most Ethical Companies list. This is the eighth consecutive year that Rockwell Collins has received this honor, and we we're the only Aerospace and Defense company to be recognized this year.

We work hard to maintain that standard, beginning at the top. Integrity is one of our core company values, and ethics are ingrained into our corporate culture. Our Standards of Business Conduct are at the heart of whow we do business and outline the ethical standards we expect all employees to follow. It is our enduring commitment to do the right thing, in the right way, for the right reasons, every time. Every year, employees reaffirm their commitment to conducting all business with integrity by completing our annual ethics training. In addition, a series of legal compliance courses addressing key areas of risk is deployed to all or select groups of employees each year. We also provide compliance training to our suppliers, sales representatives and agents, as well as third parties represening our company. This training is meant to equip our employees and business partners with the knowledge and resources they need to uphold our company’s high ethical standards and remain in compliance with the laws and regulations that govern our global business.

We understand that the answers to ethical challenges are not always clear. The Ethics & Business Conduct office is a resource for all employees, business partners, customers and suppliser to ask questions, seek guidance, or report suspected violations of our Standards of Business Conduct. To continually improve our Ethics and Business Compliance program, we are involved in numerous organizations committed to promoting ethics in business, including the Defense Industry Initiative (DII) on Ethics and Business Conduct and the Ethics and Compliance Initiative. Our participation in these groups has helped us develop relationships with other companies in our industry through which we can share best practices and stay aware of industry trends.
