11/8/10 Data Link Solutions (DLS) awarded a $37 million contract to upgrade Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) radio terminals of the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command
 

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (November 8, 2010)

Data Link Solutions awarded $37 million contract — The U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command recently awarded Data Link Solutions (DLS) – a joint venture between Rockwell Collins and BAE Systems – a $37 million contract to upgrade its Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) radio terminals.

The JTIDS terminals provide jam-resistant digital communication of data and voice for command and control, navigation, relative positioning and identification. According to a press release issued yesterday, work will be performed in Wayne, N.J., and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
