About Us

Intertrade was founded in 1969 by two former Collins Radio Company employees. The company specialized in supplying reliable and reputable Collins avionics to the aftermarket.

Over the next twenty-five years, Intertrade operated as a small family-run airframe parts trading business specializing in avionics. In 1994, Intertrade embarked on an expansion plan and broke ground on a new 16,000 square foot facility in Cedar Rapids for its headquarters and warehouse operations. During this time, the company purchased its first B737-300 for part-out, and generated annual sales of about $20 million.

In 1999, avionics and electronics original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Rockwell Collins acquired Intertrade. With this acquisition, Intertrade increased its customer relationships, global presence, product knowledge and financial position.

In 2013, Intertrade continued to expand and opened its engine division in Boca Raton, FL to focus on customer demand for CFM56, CF34, V2500 and PW100 engine material. In 2015 this service was further expanded to include the offering of unserviceable, as well as, airworthy engines.

Intertrade provides a broad range of services including OEM parts distribution, supply programs, consignment redistribution programs, repair chain management solutions, asset leasing and exchanges.

Intertrade maintains one of the largest used equipment inventories in the industry, with over $80 million in avionics, airframe, and engine parts and accessory products ready for immediate delivery. Intertrade supports its global customer base from its 84,000 square foot Memphis distribution center in order to satisfy 24-hour customer requirements. This inventory investment coupled with a dedicated team of experts allows Intertrade to meet customers’ operational requirements in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible.

On the commercial and regional narrow body aircraft platforms, Intertrade specializes in newer generation A320, B737, CRJ, ERJ and ATR platforms.
